Sheltering in Place
(12-21-2022, 12:44 PM)King Bob Wrote: TG and I camped at the Presidio when we were in Boy Scouts. The campground was next to an ammo dump, and there were lights on and armed guards patrolling all night.

I remember bowling in the bunkers and walking to the Golden Gate Bridge in the dark.

Still there. Now part of the park service, but targeted to group camping: Rob Hill Campground. Requires reservations/deposit, and you have to book fast as there aren't many dates/spots.

Going to trade some things at the used bookstore, and maybe do a little trimming on the acacia. And put some drawings into my sketchbook.

Breakfast & a walk to coffee with H, then maybe relax a little before going to Stabby Town. After that, late dinner with a friend

Going down to Stabby Town...

Gotta use that for something. Maybe the center line in a haiku...

This place (town) is coming like a Stabby town
All the clubs have been closed down
This place (town) is coming like a Stabby town
Groups won't fence no more
Too much lunging on the dance floor
Do you remember the good old days before the Stabby town?
We danced and sang, and the music played in a de boomtown

No big plans today. Maybe go to the farmer's market (if it's happening) and maybe the museum at Stanford.

Makita all the way. The bungalow has these drawers inset into the walls. The rail on the middle drawer (my drawer drawer) just snapped free. Century+ old design = 1 center rail for each drawer.

I just got some mending braces at Ace. The only tricky part will be the angle because it’s inset so I only have one way to access it. That and the wood is brittle because it’s over a century old. Makita is in the charger. If you here swearing, it’s DM pretending he can do simple home repair…
