Ants are back in my office. I may have to bring some bait. Maybe this should have been in the Merc in Ret forum.

I don’t think ants read horoscopes. Or this forum.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

There are so many ants. Surely some of them read horoscopes. They probably believe retrograde motion is a thing.

911.93 - work (mostly YMAA today) then over to svale but I won’t be visiting my mom until tomorrow. I’m working the Doobie Brothers at shoreline.

First a Jazz weekend. Now the Doobie Brothers. What is going on up there?
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I read this about a week ago.

Quote:20 quadrillion ants
You're Going to Need More Zeros. There are 20 quadrillion ants worldwide, according to a new census, or 2.5 million for every living human. There are probably even more than that.5 days ago

Statistically, there are about 3 who read DOOM.
I'm nobody's pony.

For the outdoor cats, I leave their food on the back porch. To combat the ants, I leave the food in plates that have some water in it to create a moat the ants can't cross. Once the heat wave broke and it cooled off, I started to not use the plates and it was working as I had not ant problems. I have to bring the bowls in though when I walk the dogs. The dogs immediately go to the back yard for the food when we head off on our morning walks. Yesterday, it was still dark, I grabbed the bowls and headed into the house. I immediately felt hundreds of ants transferring from the bowls to my hands. The biting commenced. I put the bowls down and brushed the ants off my hands. Good times. I've been scratching at ant bites since then. The food bowls are now back in the water.

I'm afraid we lost a few Ant Doom readers during that confrontation.

As Sting (almost) said in Dune: "All I see are ants I want to kill."

Ooof Greg that’s nasty. I disdain ant bites.

KB- I keep meaning to rewatch that.

As for what’s going on up here, hell if I know. Come on now. You know me by now. When have I ever known what’s going on? Perhaps I’m coping with losing LiB this year. At least I wasn’t the only one.

912.94: My mom’s doctor is visiting today plus several of her bills need to be signed. I work on either side of that. It’s a midday appt so I hope to be back in the Cruz by early afternoon.

Just found out that Newsom vetoed the bill to give CSU staff step raises. We're the only state employees who don't get them. I think he did it because the CSU threatened a big tuition hike if it passed.

On the other hand, I just found out that I got accepted for a holiday sale at Visual Philosophy, which is right down the street from me. One weekend in December, both afternoons for a couple of hours. I'll post in the art thread.

Work from home day, so I'm going to get my COVID booster at Big Kaiser out by 101 and 85. I've never been there.
