Sheltering in Place
It hit 90 here in town today. Lazy day for the first half, then standard stabbiness for the second half. First half was brunch with a friend of H’s. Good brunch place called “Starbelly”. Been around for a while, no Sneeches were noticed, however. Coffee afterward with another friend of H’s (coffee at Verve outpost near the Castro).

Thought I had to wake up soon but no, I got a few hours

890.91- Today starts with a telemeet (what a way back from the holiday), then work & writing, then over to svale where it’s supposed to be over 100+ to visit mom (only supposed to get to the high 70s but we know what a liar my iPhone is)

109 here today. New record. Scorched the Gingko and the fig tree. Hopefully none of the plants die from this.

At 4am, it was 82º in Raymond.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Should be a nice cool day at Yosemite, yes?

891.92: Get home to my ocean cooled lands
And work. There’s always work:

Stardate 892.93 HAPPY STAR TREK DAY!

Got the usual Thursday telemeet triptych, the some sorely needed Kung Fu, then some ST binging (Paramount+ reactivated!)

Why exactly is it Star Trek day?

It's also the anniversary of Ford pardoning Nixon, and the unveiling of Michelangelo's David in 1504.
And Pink's birthday. And mine.

Woah HBD! I guess we don't have a HBKBD thread here, huh? See what happens when you don't plug your BD in social media?

RE:STD (that sounds wrong) Star Trek Day, held annually on Sept. 8, coincides with the 56th anniversary of the first episode of the show that started it all

Happy anniversary, KB!

All right.  I did that on purpose.  See?  I remember my mistakes.  Happy birthday.

893-94: Work. Didn’t write yesterday - took a break - so I’ll have to be back at it today. Maybe I’ll run an errand downtown.

894.95: Off to Kung Fu. I had a decent session on Thursday, first one since my stenosis flare. I credit the nortriptylene. Then I should put the finishing polish on my 4th Cobra Kai piece and launch into the last one for this season. Been a good ride, but I’m happy to exit the dojo now. Then what? More Star Trek? I’m feeling so behind in my tv consumption. Haven’t even started House of Rings of Dragon Power or The Good Fight. And I may have to start chipping on an SS Rajamouli binge. It’s all research, ya know?

Work then the first fencing club awards dinner/World Fencing Day since Covid was completely vanquished and driven from this land. H will pass on attending since she foolishly insists on not getting covid. The fencing club dinners are well-provisioned, buffet style. Some of the parents own restaurants. Special Guests: The Royal Fencing Couple: Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt.
