Got away with no nsaids yesterday. I was going to take some but forgot.

878-71: Early morning quarterly YMAA telemeet. The news is grim. The economic downturn has affected our sales goals. Then a day of work and some Kung Fu.

Well damn. My Surface Pro crashed. For a moment, I thought I'd lost about 3 hours work (and as I mentioned earlier this week, I have some major deadlines). But after some tense reboots, I managed to recover everything. My poor ol' Surface Pro may need replacing soon.

880~73: I got most all of my impacted work for this week done. I'm waiting on Netflix to send me the recordings of yesterday's press junket interviews, then I'll have to pitch some ideas to Den. But today, I've got a press pass to SiliCon. I'm only marginally into it. After SDCC, it'll pale by comparison. But I'm looking forward to hanging out with my old neighbor from elementary & high school, who followed me into Kung Fu and D&D. He's still playing D&D. Got himself a sweet gig with big Kaiser IT with great medical benefits. Now his wife hires my wife for at home massages on a regular basis. We swap texts now and again, but I haven't seen him in the flesh since the last SVCC before Adam 'suchadick' Savage took it over. Anyway, I'm just planning to walk the exhibit hall, get enough for a short write up, and maybe bust out my Money Heist cosplay again because it's all I got at the ready.

Christina's day fell apart so we went to coffee and breakfast - Voyager Coffee, recommended if you're in Santa Clara or Cupertino. Then on a whim we went to SF to the Botanical Garden. It's HUGE. I had no idea it was so big. And all sorts of great plants to look at. Plus it was cloudy so not too hot. Even when the sun came out it was nice and cool in the shade. Lots of little paths between the plants. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend it too.

Yesterday was my last Saturday/teaching day for the next year. My new teaching schedule is M-F. Combined with the day job, I'll be back to a 6 day workin week and no midweek break. Let's see if my corpus can handle it

Yay. I'm at the mechanics for the millionth time this month.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Today is my first day back in the Maker Lab in the afternoon. Not so bad, I can use the laser cutter and prep some artwork. Sometimes a bit boring though.
