I enjoyed the Jurassic franchise but I can’t remember how many there were or where I left off. Clearly I didn’t pay that much attention. But I remember being entertained by the first one…maybe the second one too.

Do they even do Kung Fu in Montana?

I was there once on a yoga retreat. It was Stacy's retreat. I was just there to watch Tara when she was young. We stayed in a teepee. And I did my first and only sweat lodge with a gaggle of yogini women and a tribal elder, where I had an epiphany about salmon.

But no kung fu...

Since Montana is a myth anyway, I'm sure they have Kung Fu.

Is that Jeff Goldblum in that gif? I gave up on Thor after the second movie. The first one was good though.

I think it's all wrasslin and shootin in Montana.

Thor: Ragnarok is the best Thor. Very different from the first two. Director Taika Waittiti did a great job.
That is Jeff Goldblum.

That's if you hang out with the cowboys. I hung out with the Indians*, ergo the yoga and the teepee.

RE: wrasslin and shootin

My daughter's ex recently started studying jujutsu after work. She thinks that's where he went down the toxic male rabbit hole (I'm not sure how to punctuate that. please read read that as "toxic male" + "rabbit hole")...that and podcasts. She said that the teacher at the dojo(?) in Bozeman came to MT from somewhere in LA where he was a second (or much lower) rate athlete. He had like one win/credential that probably wasn't selling well for him in LA, but in MT, there's a drove of dudes that are excited about him.

She taught yoga there for years.

She used to be vegan, but when she moved to MT, she learned how to shoot and they would bag some deer annually during the season. They came out to visit once. Brought coolers on the plane stuffed with venison. It looked like they were delivering organs for transplant.

My brother in law moved his family there. My niece came to visit and told me about her friend who was in the school taxidermy club.

My only real experience of MT was the airport and the retreat center, which was beautiful. It was by a lovely lake and the cabins were log, plus there were teepees. Tara was very young but we had fun exploring trails while Stacy was in class. When we left, we stopped by a quaint town with an excellent toy store and bought Tara a rainbow heart beaded curtain. It was door length and a chore to untangle, which I did dutifully as the dad every few months for years. There’s still a fragment of it in Tara’s old closet.

Still not going to that screener tho. I don’t even know what it’s about. I read the synopsis and promptly forgot it because … well, no Kung Fu obvs.
