Glad you figured that out. It’s the 1st of 3 SF trips I am taking this week.
563: Telemeet, then taking mom to the dentist, then to the bank to collect her safe deposit box because that branch is closing, plus must do some shopping and the weekly chores for her, then back up to SF for a screener of Venom 2. Then home.

Sorry. Change those plans is my advice.
564: the telemeet Trinity. YMAA social media. Writing up reviews. Kung Fu.

How was it? Heard Connie Yu on NPR news on Wednesday.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Was that in regards to the San Jo apology? I saw that Connie was speaking at that ceremony.
It was fascinating. I wish we had more time. It’s a small yet historic building and it was nice to meet everyone in person. The director is the martial brother of two good friends of mine, and he has sort of an Adam Driver look to him. He’s been active in museum work for years, and that was very intriguing. I must go back someday as he’s promised me a private tour. Our meeting was mostly preplanning - setting up some ground rules. Then we sat in on part of a meeting for their upcoming Joy on Joice event - a chinatown revitalization project. There were a lot of Chinatown biz brokers there, including one older woman who led a drumming troupe that said she was a student of Wing Lam back in the Filbert st days. Twas a shining day in SF. Really wish I could’ve spent more time in Chinatown. 566: Kung Fu and I’m behind in my work so I should really write today...

Sigh. I've been reading a lot of history books lately. This always seems to be the case. What we were taught wasn't always what happened. For example did you know that Almaden was famous for a mercury mine?

I knew Fremont was famous for salt mining. Still is. It’s industrial salt however, used in silver mining during the gold rush.
I don’t want an apology. I want to see the system change. There was a lot of discussion of this at our meeting yesterday and in the car ride (my carpooling companion is a liberal political activist who worked for Newsom among others. He was also a chef for Wolfgang Puck. Quite a character. Fascinating guy - very engaged and I enjoyed picking his brain for his political insights.

I knew about Almaden Valley and quicksilver.
