We're cancelling our CBS Access because ST: Disco is done for now and Twilight Zone just isn't doing it for me. But I will miss TGF. I enjoyed The Good Wife when it ran and but didn't really get into tGF until now, season 3. It's not really a courtroom drama anymore. It's viciously left wing political and wickedly funny because of that. Each ep has a little animated segment modelled after Schoolhouse Rock that breaks down the underlying political commentary. And it just got strangely meta with S3:E8 where the plot revolved around a search engine providing censorship AI for PRC, and the animated segment was censored by CBS because, like PRC censorship is that powerful (if you don't know the magnitude, search 'Xi Jinping' & 'Winnie the Pooh'). I think next week is the Season finale, which would be good timing except for that I probably won't be able to catch it before our subscription expires, what with my schedule over the next few weeks. I'll likely renew when the next CBS Access ST series starts up.
Hopefully we can afford Disney+

Do you have to sign up for Showtime to get the WuTang Clan documentary?

Fortunately, Stacy is addicted to Homeland. I am too but she made the call to subscribe for Season 8 (another reason why cbs got the axe). I forgot that the Wu doc was Showtime so extra bonus for DM.
Cuz it's all about DM.

It's all about DM. So much so, they named messaging after him.

So Stacy re-subscribed to CBS Access primarily for this (I've been watching Picard by ninja means) and we just watched S4e1 & 2. Stacy had already seen 1, which was a hilarious alternate reality ep where Diane wakes up to discover that Hilary won and that she has to defend Weinstein in a property rights battle for a Snowpiercer TV show. The #metoo movement hasn't happened, and the last three years are flipped sideways. It was a great start, attention getting, witty and clever.
E2 picked up with the real next season which is moving along at a steady pace and then at the end of the ep, there's a composite vid of the cast and crew, each in individual screens ala zoom, apologizing because their production got postponed due to the SIP. No ep next week. Dammit. The whole reason we got this was to escape the freakin quarantine.
Oh well. At least there's Star Trek & Twilight Zone.

More One Degree Effect ( http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...9#pid37629.) Hugh Dancy just joined the cast of The Good Fight. Last seen in Homeland.

Next week is the Season Finale - the season got cut short due to covid - only 8 eps. Again, I'm bummed and will have to find new shows. The show soldiered on despite the production woes. The opening sequence involves slow motion explosions of phones, designer bags, big screen TVs with 45 images - last week there were some gaps so it had some blank screens that said stuff like 'sofa explodes here'.
It's been great though and I highly recommend this show if you're a liberal like me. It has a shrewd sense of political satire, tackles controversial issues with courtroom drama, and the cast is great.
This week was a transgender swimmer going to the Tokyo Olympics - presiding as judge was Rob Reiner. But what came to my mind was tQ because a new critical character was introduced - played by Rachel Dratch. No, no, Rachel does not remind me of tQ. She plays a stenographer. She's an OCD stenographer that keeps all her hard files because the web files keep disappearing This has been the major story arc for this season - memo 618 is something that has been destroying justice and it's connected to some presidential unwritten power - like a black ops thing - which is going to play out in teh finale about Epstein. They brought back the Schoolhouse Rock short, which we've been missing all season (again a covid production issue methinks).
No sword fights. DOOM recommended however.

The season finale was hilarious even though it wasn't the finale. Production was cut due to the pandemic and they clearly had more to say because this just felt like another episode. The team goes after the Epstein suicide/murder and the results are witty and a cutting metaphor of what really happened. Or what might have happened.
I highly recommend this show, even without any swordfights whatsoever. It's satirical fun.

We started rewatching the last season in preparation for the new season coming in a few weeks. We thought it might feel dated because it grapples with current events so much but it’s still relevant - in some ways even more so because we haven’t made much progress. In some ways, it’s even funnier because we know the characters better and where they are going. The razor sharp wit is eternal. It’s even got a few genuine lol moments for us the second time around.
Hey - Thanks for the Paramount+ subforum, Greg! Just in time for this ttt!
