Going in to work today. Probably hit the used bookstore on the way.

First time in a while, Dr. Bob? Both work and bookstore?

No to both.

Since mid February I've been going in to the office 1-3 on Monday and Wednesday. The idea is that I'm there for students to check out equipment, but I've only had two this semester, with another coming today. Recycle Books has been open for months now; I go at least once a week (walking distance even carrying a sack of books). One of the professors is weeding out her library and bringing in boxes of books for the Art History student association to sell, with the understanding that I get first pick. I've gotten some great and rare things from her - last month I netted $100 in trade, plus got a few things to add to my library, notably a nice two volume set on Oceanic art.

That’s a pretty sweet perk there, KB.

For a short window, I was making bank on selling book samples I got at KFM to Logos. The book Iger there was the wife of my Kung Fu brother who runs the school where I train and she gave me top dollar. I d amass a shopping bag full of books ever few months and get at least a Benjamin for them. The Logos closed & now my book sample source dried up. That was a good run tho.

373: Tara comes home for spring break. I’ll pick her up at SJC then we’ll visit my mom for dinner then come back to the bungalow. That’s why we washed the carpet and dog.

I still have credit for Logos somewhere.

Don't forget DM - Recycle Books seems to be expanding their martial arts section. It's not big, but they recently added one more shelf. You could try them for your surplus - the San Jose store, not the Campbell one. Anything rare you could sell on eBay, but it's a hassle. Or do giveaways for your readers.

Yeah, I should get to Recycled some day. Maybe after all my shots are on board.

We do a regular biweekly sweeps promo at KFM for books & Dvds. That’s been going for over a decade and it’s queued for months ahead.

374: I have a new weekly meeting for ymaa on Wednesdays now. That’s first thing today. Then it’s just a work day - mostly YMAA tasks - that’s the main job nowadays.

375: Two ymaa telemeetings and work as usual. Oil change for the crv & a piano tuning (long overdue). Tara visits her friend whose sister ODed.

376: Stacy & Tara leave for Orr hot springs and won’t be back until Monday so it’s just me and Yuki for the weekend. I have no plans beyond work and dog walks. The fridge is well stocked. I’ve got vids & books. Got whiskey & nite cheese. Just gonna lay low for the weekend.

Sounds like a good weekend!

377: Stacy usually walks Yuki at dawn but she’s not here. First time they e been apart since we’ve brought him home. We’ll see if he wakes me up.

Might have to bail on Kung Fu or take Yuki - we’ll see how I’m feeling about him.

I’ll probably write today. I feel since it’s just me and the dog, I can catch up on writing tasks, maybe even get ahead? Nah, that’s not possible anymore. It hardly was when I just had one job.

But at least you now have a furry reason to procrastinate.
