Sheltering in Place
Nothing is over!
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

The good news is that Stacy had no adverse reactions to vax2 beyond feeling a little weird on Saturday, so she was up to her usual activities yesterday and I could just write. Got my YMAA price done - just needs a final polish.

358: KFM blog & updates for 2 Den ‘best of’ pieces. The KFM blog is pretty clear in my brain but it’s got a long way to go. The Netflix Den ‘best of’ is also pretty clear.

I also need to close up my EDD. That’s been such a chore. I’ll be glad to be done. I’ve been making too much to collect over the last months anyway.

360: YMAA telemeet 1st thing, then taking my mom to the vax center at the Santa Clara convention center - the rain will be an impediment. Then wrriting and the usual mom chores.

Then JEOPARDY!

361: The usual work chores (my chores for my mom are done) plus the weekly YMAA pub telemeeting. Then I’ll have access to a long clip of Mortal Kombat but I’ve had to jump through so many hoops to get there. Then I’ll head home.

Then JEOPARDY! I have to figure out how to stream it or get a new TV antenna. I looked into streaming last night and it was rather confusing.

That would be fun but I miss my bungalow. Yuki goes nuts with joy whenever we come home, even from short outings. It’s been so heartwarming during the pandemic, one of the few things that really brightens my stay at home life now.

I just need a new tv antenna. We haven’t used the tv for broadcast in years. But maybe I can find the local network stream. Another task for today...

362: I fell behind with the extra day at my mom’s. She’s high maintenance and that inhibits my concentration. So today is a catch up day. Stacy is returning to seeing some select private clients this weekend so it’ll be just me and Yuki.

I'm at a good break point for work and want to take Yuki for a walk but I'm expecting a delivery - something regarding Mortal Kombat (http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...p?tid=5642). Given the snafu for watching the screener, I really want this part to go right. I got a UPS notification that allows me to track the delivery 'on a live map' and the truck is right down the street. It's been there for like half an hour.

I also got a text that something got delivered but that's from someone else. I checked in to see if something went to Tiger Claw (I am expecting an international parcel there) but no.

I am in delivery limbo...

The MK parcel came (http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...7#pid45867) and I'm told that another parcel was delivered to Tiger Claw that I'll pick up next week. Fingers crossed that this is what I'm expecting because it'll be super cool if it is.

363: Kung Fu. Stacy is working during the afternoon. I've been trying not to work on Saturdays but I might just tend to a few tasks because next week is big - two interviews and a product review, a stop by TC and vax#1. I'll have a lot of time on Sunday too, but the time change always throws me off.

Damn. The one year anniversary of this thread is Sunday. Crazy, right?

I've been scrambling to sort work remotely.  It's weird because I telecommute at least once a week, but not having the office poses a ton of new obstacles.  Stacy went for a hike - thank goodness that the Shelter in Place declared hiking, running & biking as exempt as long as we maintain social distancing.

I'll head over to my mom's later today (caretaking is also exempt) and try to get her set up.  She's not getting it - the magnitude.  She called us frantically about taxes and has been obsessing over her TV pick up.  I've been trying to explain to her that everything is shut down, but it's really hard to talk to her on the phone because she lost her hearing aids and it's been yet another trial to replace them. She'll probably lose them soon after we get new ones anyway.

Last night I had a horrid nightmare that I caught covid and was freaking out because I couldn't meet my responsibilities with my family.  I only remember one bit where there was a red skull bead mala that snapped, sending tiny skulls all over the place. I woke up pumped with adrenaline and super cold, and for a moment, I thought I was sick.  But then I realized that it was genuinely cold plus one of my blankets slipped off, and I was shaky from the adrenaline.

364: flashback to the first post on this thread from one year ago today. Or maybe tomorrow. It’s daylight savings time tonight so I’m not sure if it’s today or tomorrow or still yesterday.

i have a lot of writing to tackle this week so today is prep - a product review for YMAA, 3 pieces for Den (2 rely on interviews Monday & Tuesday) but I must finish that KFM piece. And I need to close my EDD.
