Doesn't look like there will be swordfights. And it's just going to get to a point and end abruptly, resolving nothing but elucidating the existentialness of it all, like French films do.

Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci back together again in a film by Robert Zemeckis that is Co-written by Guillermo del Torro!

I assume based on the Roald Dahl book. I haven't read it but I gather (from occasional mentions in the book section of The Guardian) that in the UK it's sort of a classic.

Roald Dahl book. Yes, a classic. I hear the original movie is a classic, too. I was drawn in by Hathaway but after seeing the trailer......not so much
