Two Orphan Vampires (1997) by Jean Rollin

Two blind teenage girls regain their sight at night, at which time they go hunting, because they are vampires.

Another intriguing twist on the vampire myth.  Instead of casketing them during daylight, just make them blind, and keep them on screen, going about hand in hand, tapping with canes.

The girls, orphans, are kept in an orphanage by clueless nuns, who eventually place them with a doctor who is equally clueless.

On their nighttime wanderings, often through graveyards, the orphans pause now and then to contemplate their past, which has grown nebulous and fragmented with the years.  They also wonder if night-time for them is but a dream they share.

A rather gentle tale, not much conflict, a bit talkative, with the emphasis on the girls' close friendship and shared experiences.  Here and there there's teeth, and threats, as some people recognize them for what they are and give pursuit.

A minor piece to my mind, but still with some interesting content.

Only one more to go on Kanopy.  Okay, maybe two.
