That stuck in my mind from years ago. Not to be resurrecting unpleasantries, but...

The unpleasantness is always there.
But it keeps you warm. My anger makes me break stuff, often parts of my own body.

Woo hoo, last minute curve ball.
I've just been told by our Oakhurst realtor who is relaying a message from our Oakhurst escrow agent that signing the papers to close in Burbank on Thursday does not give them enough time finishing closing on Friday.
So, that's a problem.

Can they say what kind of delay? A day, a week...?

They say we wouldn't have been able to close until Monday which meant move-in on Tuesday. Which is funny because we had everything scheduled to start the move-in on Saturday. If you look at a calendar, you will see that our move-in day would now occur before their move out day.
After many frantic emails and phone-calls by the King of Cool, we have moved up the signing (closing? funding? God knows) to Wednesday. This will hopefully give escrow enough time to close on Friday. Well, that was where it sat at 5pm. I'll know more on Tuesday.

Holy Crap! You're right. Why aren't I in Lynch Lair already?
(I was pretending I was posting from yesterday because I have another post to start the day but then I saw posts in response to yesterday's post so I responded to those. I can't wait for a week from Wednesday)

Seven Days out. Approaching Maximum Freak Out. I'm not there yet, but I can see it from here.
I woke up at 2am because my brain decided to gnaw on the problem of the shipping containers. One leaves tomorrow. Another shows up on Friday to be filled on Monday and picked up on Tuesday. I spent the hours from 2 to 4 trying to place all the things left in the house into the one shipping container. No matter how careful and cagey I was, I couldn't do it. I kept envisioning next Tuesday watching the container move away and still having a pile of stuff with me on the curb.
One of the scenarios I came up with was going to u-haul and getting a truck. Filling the truck and driving it back and forth to Raymond in the course of the day.
But I think I figured it out. I'm calling the POD people today and getting a third container delivered on Thursday along with some strong bucks to help load the furniture.

It's okay.
You're safe here.
Deep long breaths.
It's only a drug.
It'll wear off.
...oh wait...never mind that last bit. would you like some ice to chew?

Did you ever post the address of Lynch Lair here? I mean just in case a DOOMer wanted to mail you a housewarming gift like a gargoyle or something...
