Sorry to bother you (2018)

I was hoping for a really biting and funny satire about race in America. Instead, I was bored out of mind. I quit after thirty minutes. Maybe it got better after that.

It has a great cast of cameos. Arnie Hammer, Danny Glover, others...

Basically, an African American telemarketer uses his white voice to make sales. Hilarity ensues.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

LC and I watched this a week ago.  We enjoyed it.

But what we liked was the inventiveness and humor in individual scenes.  The movie itself made its social statement by the midway point -- maybe earlier -- and seemed to over-dwell on that statement the rest of the way.  We felt it had a lot of good little scenes and surprises later on, and was worth watching, but synergism never happened.  The whole was less than the sum of its parts.
I'm nobody's pony.
