First in a Detective series set in the Weimar Republic in Germany (also a major German mini-series, also on Netflix).
Nice to have a protagonist who is flawed and some moral ambiguity in the plot. Berlin’s politics and criminal underworld were interesting, too. I’ll keep up with the series as they are translated and released here. German Noir.
A cursory glance at the Netflix menu tells me that the TV series took a lot of liberties with the plot, so I’ll give it a pass.
