Actually a lot of it is subtitled due to the interviewees speaking in Hungarian. I also spent today adding subtitles to the gentlemen who speak with a really thick Hungarian accent.
As for a closed caption, we shall see.

We finally went over the music today.
I'm currently fielding offers for a new composer. I posted an ad online at Film Professionals website. Do you want to make your email feed spin really fast? Post a job with pay on a Film Professionals hiring board. It's like I'm the only girl left on the Island full of boys and Prom is coming up.
Other than music, the last thing left to do is get the narration done.

I wish I had a musician that I could connect you with but none of my musician friends would have the right sound.
As for narration, I've got a few friends that do voice work. I had Jennifer Bailey narrate my doc . Not sure if she's still doing that sort of work but I hear she built a sound studio in her backyard for her latest bf.
I'd offer my dulcet tones but I'm sure you'd find them too raspy. Fwiw, I've always thought the narration work you yourself have done was solid.

No worries. It's all good.
I put an ad up on the message board for a composer on Thursday evening. By Friday morning, I had to take it down. I'm currently dealing with almost 40 bids. Six of them have given me great samples and I'm waiting for the rest to come in.
Narration. I kind of like my narrator voice, too, but not this time. HK has a guy lined up and he should be done, hopefully, by the end of the week.
Mostly the post was given into the cranky pants!
At this point, I still like the film and my characters. It's just hard to sit through it again. I see the flaws and realize at this point there are some things I can't fix.

Always hard to look at you own work, right? Especially when there's light at tunnels end.

I'm currently summoning the courage to tell twenty people their music wasn't good enough to be The Last Captain...

I was. There was no good way to put it. But I've gotten a lot responses thanking me for the opportunity.

Send them each an airlock.
Tell them to climb in.
Then jettison them. Hard.
I'll welcome to them as they pass.

So, the score is being written and it sounds good. We should have had the narration by now, but somebody and I quote 'dropped the ball'
I've torn apart the entire film into bit sized clips in order to send it off to be color corrected (or graded, if you want to use the hip film terminology)
I'm still waiting to finalize delivery of the stock footage we are using in the film. Things are bit tardy coming out of Budapest.
So, much to do that I can't spare a minute to do anything else.

This strikes me as the pinnacle of self-sacrifice. May it all go well and not be nearly as stressful as I'm imagining it.

Would it help if I said there might be a chance we could see Pope Francis?

I am down to sound mixing. All the shots are done. All the stock footage is in. The narration is complete.
Sometime next week, I'm going to enter it in Sundance.
