I was idly watching EL REY at my mom's while folding laundry and got sucked into Very Bad Things.  Then, right after that, it was Danny Trejo hosting Pulp Fiction.  I wanted to stay up because that may have been the segment he filmed when I was there and I was curious to hear his Man at Arms plugs.  The movie hosting segments were filmed with a separate crew from El Rey, who set up in a corner of the warehouse and pulled us all aside, one-by-one, to do promos and the hosting schticks.  But Pulp Fiction started at 11:30 and I was already fading.

Thanks Dr. Y.  Does Sling allow for watching programs after they've been broadcast like Hulu+ or do you have to watch them the moment they air?

I'll probably invest in Sling this weekend, to stay up on my Into the Badlands.  I'm out of advanced screeners and now must watch it like everyone else.

I thought that was a given?
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I'll need to get hold of EL REY by June as well.

The coolness factor harkens.

accessing old shows is up to each channel individually. The majority of the channels have on-demand older content. BBC America is an exception and only offers what is being broadcast. Also, if you have netflix, amazon, you can play them through your Roku, too.

I dunno, man.  It was rather awkward for me.  Everyone else had significantly more camera time and were far more comfortable there, even the Baltimore Knife & Sword guys.  The only other nooB was Da'mon and we were the two 'experts' - like a tag team -  so we never shared a scene.

My pseudo-dyslexia read that at 'The coolness factor harkness' and I was all like 'WTH?! This is all about me!  Forget the Yeti already.  He should get his own show.'

I'm mostly interested in AMC and EL REY.  Do those allow you to replay content or do you have to watch it as it is broadcast?

El Rey is pretty generous with old content, AMC is mostly all zombie, all the time. No movie replays. TBS, TBT, USA, SyFy, History, A&E, El Rey all generous. We play the Netflix through the Roku, Amazon, too, all on our tee-vee. Little tiny Roku box (little larger than a pack of cigs) sticks to the side of the tee-vee.

Sling only plays on 4th gen appletvs, not dinosaurs like ours. I got the app now on my iPhone but it doesn't airplay like amazon prime. Might upgrade my appletv. We've been talking about doing that for sometime now as our older unit crashes out a lot (been harsh with the Get Down and my Bollywood flix).

I see how it works now - got a few days to watch stuff and you can save stuff. That should fulfill my needs. Not that interested in the other channels than AMC & EL REY. most we already have via Hulu+ (Stacy renewed us because she was fed up with Netflix). We got one more ep of Homeland after our Amazon Prime expires so we might have to renew that too. Man, remember when television was easier? Just like a dozen stations?

At least I can watch ep 4 of Into the Badlands tomorrow, albeit on my phone. Looking forward to the upcoming Widow sanguinosity.

"upcoming Widow sanguinosity". Good phrase. Make a really good chapter title for an anime series.

My first interview for this is next week.  Of course, I'll post it here when it gets published.  If it gets published.  Yeah, you won't hear the end of this once the Man at Arms train gets a rollin'.

I RIDE WITH EL REY.

Shouldn't we have a Gathering for this? My place is always open.

I've had a few similar offers for the premiere on June 8, but I'm leaning towards just watching it at home with my family. Maybe for one of the other 4 episodes that I'm in.

The 36th Chamber of Shaolin is tonight on EL REY at 6PM.  In fact, the whole trilogy runs tonight.  I highly doubt that this is my hosted show because it just seems too soon.

The schedule posted online doesn't match what's playing on Sling. 36 played this afternoon and it's the one RZA hosted. Thought that was way too early.
