i usually get Irish cheese and sometimes kerrygold. It's like the fish & chips.
We did not see the garden as we caught the last tour before dark. Maybe we'll go back.
Trump is enough of a bum out to keeps us centered.
Tomorrow we relocate to a cheaper airbnb. Don't know about wifi. May hit a cafe to pick up data and Instagram but probably won't have the luxury to doompost.

The garden is above the black pool for which Dublin get it's name. The pool has long been bricked over. Good luck at the Guinness Storehouse. I hope you have a sunny day for the Skybar

There were a lot of questions, so I never got back. Then we went out for dinner - Parliment Hotel for some traditional Irish music and dancing. We figured it would be some cheesy tourist deal but the food was superb and some tables had their own Guinness taps built in (didn't go for one because I'm the only drinker in our family and I don't trust myself to pour my panning Guinness anymore).
So it's a lot about the butter methinks. Not that I'm a chef of any means. But with great butter as your base oil, everything tastes better.

Today was the free museums (art & archeology), Georgian house, & Trinity. Nice swords at Arch & Georgian. Wasn't allowed to take a pic of the Georgian swords but got pix of most of the rest. Kells & long room were the most expensive and touristy but totally worth it. We're now in an Airbnb 20 mins from city center. Its cheaper for Saturday, quiet and quaint, a converted attic in a lovely suburban home owned by wine dealers.
Weather has been brisk but clear. We're all still super jet lagged and have dry travel coughs.
Tomorrow we relocate to another Airbnb across from Guinness.

Its like Disneyland meets Wonkas factory in a pint. Wacky. Fun. Comical. Surreal. The pour was mediocre and so many tourists couldn't finish their pints. The authentic JJ-certed pubs have spoiled me. Had to escape the gift shop before I bought the whole place.
We are now in an Airbnb with a view of Guinness. Tomorrow, Hill of Tara tour. We are all tired and still coughing. I got mad at Stacy for coughing last night and keeping me up by stealing my shrimp belt. Then I realized the shrimp belt was something I dreamed so I must of slept some.

Always after your lucky charms...and your shrimp belt.

Heard the tale of Maeve & Culculain atop the frost covered Hill of Tara from our Irish tour guide who bears Culculains other name (s something). Today was the Extreme Celt tour. Very educational, very cold. We are all sick and tired, but satisfied.
Tomorrow we make it for Galway.

All these years I've been thinking you're a generally nice guy. Or maybe a good guy. Now I discover that it's just because you're Irish.
Everyone here is so nice.
Got to hold Braveheart's sword today. That was amusing, but not as impressive as it sounds, especially for DOOM, as we know our swords better.

I hope you are adding 'Fer Fucks sake' into you vocabulary.
As in 'Fer Fucks sake, what is Bravehearts sword doing in Ireland?'

Castle Trim was where it was filmed. We heard a great story about how an Irish extra popped Mel in the jewels with an apple, then Mel put out a 1k bounty on him. The outdoor guide was curt because of the cold but I already knew a lot about Trim because of that fyne Irish castles mini-series. I must finish that when I get home.
Tour guide qotd: "clan trump...<awkward silence> ...too soon?"
Added feckin & shyte right after.

I luv castles. Didn't storm this one though. Just sorta shivered through. Tara got all armored up in the helmet demonstration, much to her dismay and my amusement. She's working on homework again now. Stacy went to sleep. I'm doing some laundry. This Airbnb sort sux but I can see Guinness out the window.
