A salesman tries to sell a new teleconferencing system to the King of Saudi Arabia. Who wouldn't want to see that.
Tom Hanks plays the salesman lost in the desert, struggling to pull his life together.
It's an odd film. I'd like to see a film where Hanks is sarcastic and funny rather than these heroic schlubs he seems to be playing in every movie. This film goes down that path for a little bit, especially the opening where he sings a Talking Heads song while the world explodes around him. But it never really gets going. The situations of a stranger in a strange land seem a bit hackneyed. Everything seems predictable. And there is no big happy ending. Although, he is on a better path at the end.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
