Did you know Toshiro Mifune's birthday was on April 1? The things you learn on Jeopardy . . . Still waiting to hear back.

Happy Birthday, Toshiro

...if I'm reading you right.
Lady Cranefly and I both signed up, but concerns over sharing a flaky DSL line convinced me to defer to the lesser mind. In other words, I stood behind Lady Cranefly coaxing her on with "Uh, let me think..." and "Oh, I know that..." and "It's, uh, it's, uh" while she typed madly away. She thinks she did poorly. Hard to say. She knew most of the answers, but some slipped between her fingertips as the zero second arrived. Ditto the happy birthday, Toshiro. --cranefly

(How did this get to be the Jeopardy quiz thread?)
Don't feel too bad. Just ask the Queen about JK Rowling and Dr. Strangelove and she will have fits. But isn't it cool or odd or don't care that Toshiro's birthday is April fool's day?

April Fool's Day.
I simply don't think it's nice to play tricks on people. As for Jeopardy, Lady Cranefly nailed Rowling and Strangelove while I was doing the "Uh, uh" thing. But Braveheart beat the piss out of both of us. At least I don't think they'll accept "Braveh". Especially without the ENTER. --cranefly

I just wanted to die. I felt good about knowing the unfinished symphony thing was Schubert, but there were some in there where I just stared and went HUH?
I thought I did much better when I did the live test.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

You know this Daylight Savings Time thing? It's an April Fool's joke too.

I grew up in a corner of Indiana that refused to do the daylight savings shuffle. Since I moved out of there, I've always been confused about what time it is for my mom when I call her -- sometimes a 2-hour, sometimes 3-hour -- difference.
But not anymore. Indiana legislation just went through, so now they shuffle like the rest of us. It does seem like a cruel April Fool's Day joke.
I'm nobody's pony.
