It was an absurd romp with great effects and some funny lines, and a fair addition to the franchise, but not mindblowing. There's a decent revelation twist at the end. Great alien effects, especially Boris. The Chinese restaurant schtick was borderline racist. I'll side with ED's "Fuck Yeah - America" comment. Oh wait, wrong film, never mind. The leads were good, but it was just a little too much Will Smith. Hader was funny. It was all about the multi-dimensional seeing alien for me, as I could totally relate to that character. If Boris was in a swordfight, that would have been great.

All that being said, it was great mindless entertainment for a while. I wasn't bored.

Surprisingly not horrible. Sure, I want Wil Smith to ease up on the schtick, but that was the only minor quibble. I think the alien bad guy did it for me just because he was so outrageous. And a lot of the enjoyment was looking around the scene while the Actors were babbling to see interesting bits of set dressing. Like the pug from the first film appearing in a bunch of circus posters.

It was good.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit

BTW, I heard the Chinese restaurant scene was deleted from the Asian editions.
