Transformers: Dark of the Moon
#1
Before the movie, they screened the trailer for Apollo 18, the story of some alien craft on the moon that threatens all life on earth.

Then we saw Transformers and it was like the 3 hour version of Deja Vu.

First off, this movie isn't any good. Yes, it's better than Transformers 2. But that's like saying this pile of dog poop is smaller than that pile. Whenever an action sequence starts, I can never figure out what is going on. There are robots are everywhere and who know what they are doing or why they aren't more effective at what they are doing. The effects are cool but I'm constantly asking why are they doing that.

They hammered the plot home at every point. We must get to the mcguffin on the roof. The roof is where the mcguffin is. If Whitwhicky doesn't get to the McGuffin, we will all die. But where is the McGuffin? The McGuffin is on the roof.

It was also a paycheck movie for quite the herd of actors. As well as the usual supsects, Frances McDormand is the head of the CIA and John Malkovich works at the tech company with Ken Jeong.

The best part of the movie was one scene with John Turturo and Alan Tudyk (From Serenity Fame) They go into this russian bar and entertaining things happen. Turturo and Tudyk's characters need their own movie.

In the end, it's just a loud confusing mess.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit
