Ah, melodrama with a touch of comedy. It certainly wasn't a screwball comedy. There was too much death.
"Love . . ." stars Jake Gyllenhall as a drug rep back in the nineties at the dawn of Zoloft and Viagra. Anne Hathaway plays a young woman with MS. Their paths cross. They fight and fall in love. It's a familiar trajectory but it's told very well. The cliches are there but it has other nuances as well that makes the film enjoyable.
The cast has a lot of good actors including Jill Clayburgh, George Segal (The Segal that's not an action star and can act), and Hank Azaria who is always good.
But let's face it, there's a lot of nice nudity in this film. I was curious to see Anne Hathaway take her kit off.
