Right?
I keep wanting to use ‘the twisties’ as an excuse to bail on something. Too soon? Nah, it’s been enough time. Too much maybe. Most people probably forgot already, just like Jan 6...

The story - Tara just started working at Urban Outfitters, which if you don't know, is a 5 story flagship store just off Market next to the cable car turnabout. She's working there part time and has minimal duties so far. She was in charge of watching the dressing rooms, making sure that everyone went in and out with the same number of garments, when Simone passed. Simone is extremely short and even with her mask on, Tara noticed her physique, which was a total giveaway. "That musculature wasn't normal. No one is that buff." She wasn't sure at first and noted a coworker who also wasn't sure, but it became clear as other team members came in. They had a bodyguard and were just shopping like normal young women tourists might. Simone walked right past her and Grace McCallum tried something on in the fitting room she was monitoring. She's also sure she saw MyKayla Skinner. Remember, Tara was a gymnast in elementary school, and she still follows the sport as do Stacy and I, so we know our female gymnasts pretty well.

You mean like wiring Italian epees?
Oh well played Maestro. Bon touché mon ami.
She got an offer from Blick as a delivery driver but she’s not into it. Driving the company van around SF didn’t sound like something she wanted to do. She’s also applied to a nearby plant store and another boba shop.
I’ll ask her. She’s not a fencer at all. Building that foil at your old shop was the closest she ever got to the sport. Thanks.

Please do. The workspace and the business have evolved into more of a "boutique" business. Since she learned the barista-fu, I'm confident she can learn the fencing stuff. Perks: Andytown coffee every day, company pays for a beginner fencing class if she is interested.

Well alright. I emailed the info to her. We'll see what she thinks.
It would be weird if she became a 2nd gen Eetalyun epee wirer.
Thanks.
Ha! She's interested. I think it was the Andytown coffee.
Just connected you two via email.
Kinda trippy because you got me the job at AFS when I was fresh outta college. And look where that led. TV STARDOM!
Life is weird.

And just like that, it's time for the Beijing Winter Olympics. And just like that I can't very much enthusiasm for these games. I'm usually mainlining these sports. I am looking for them but I'm checking the TV listings for when I can watch them. Which is problem that most of the events won't be live here in the US. Granted, I was happy that the Mixed Curling has started and our team won it's first match.
We shall see.
