There are three properties in the estate all of differing value. Saratoga is the highest. Santa Clara the lowest. Cambridge in between. My plan was for me to keep Santa Clara for myself instead of taking cash. We would get an appraiser to tell us the price of SC. We would sell the other two properties. The total would be divided among the three of us, with my share being partially cash and mostly property. The sisters agreed. We are all getting the same amount of money just in different forms. Not a problem.

Unless you are the antarctic sister who vastly over estimates how much things are worth. She is currently fighting with Cambridge realtors over the value of that property. The realtors showed us a bunch of properties in the area and based on the condition of Cambridge, it should be worth X. My sister heard a different valuation she found and thinks the price should be X +$500K. Yeah, no. But she knows best and hates those realtors.

Now she's mad at the appraisal for Santa Clara. Thinks it is unfair. And has it in her head that I will be getting the property and my sisters will still have to pay me cash. No one is paying me. We are dividing up the estate. Meanwhile, Anarctic sister is fighting with long suffering sister because long suffering sister isn't getting with Antarctic sister's plan.
