There are two 'duck' weapons in Chinese martial arts. One is the iron duck. This consists of what I like to call 'ducks on a stick' - imagine a rubber duck cast out of metal and set upon the top of a metal rod, like a mace. They are usually used as a paired weapon and it's extrememly rare, although I have seen footage of a form before. The other is the flying mandarin duck. The story goes that some scholar had a stone duck paperweight and threw it in self defense once. It killed his assailent so he created a whole art based on throwing stone ducks. There was a sequel tale where a studnet of his lineage threw a duck at this female rival, and she threw a duck back. The ducks colided in midair and they realized they were both decended from the same school, fell in love, and wed. There is also a traditional duck style of kung fu - I actually did a short write up on it in an article I did around '99 surveying weird animal styles.
I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.
