The Pope's Exorcist (2023)
#1
Come on, Russel Crow gets to break out his Italian accent! How could that be bad?

Crow plays Gabriel Amorth the titular exorcist called to Spain to help exorcise the demon from a young American Boy whose mother inherited the abbey where they now live. The Americans are refurbishing the abbey/home in the hope of reselling it to make some money. Bad things happen

Can I say what tipped me over the edge to watching this was the fact the Spanish Abbey was actually a County Limerick Abbey? See? I am known for my compelling reasons. And then they used the Long Room in the library at Trinity College as one of the Vatican libraries. Ireland, baby!

The films not great. Crow gets to be hammy and is kind of charming. The young boy who is possessed does a good job. The whole story is kind of whacky but in the end it's like a team up between Crow's old priest and this young Spanish priest who helped him as they go off to round up the rest of the 199 angels that fell to earth. Comes complete with hand shake agreement!
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
