I just noticed these guys are playing 2 shows at Henry Miller Library in Big Sur. The evening show was already sold out, but I snagged two tickets for the afternoon show. It was a bit pricey, but I've never seen a show there.
About a month ago, we were entertaining some friends from Toronto and we popped into a new tapas place in Carmel-by-the-Sea. While we were talking, there was this great instro guitar music I'd never heard before playing in the background. I was so enchanted, I (rudely) whipped out my phone repeatedly and Shazammed the songs and they all turned out to be this group called Hermanos Gutierrez. I searched for them on Spotify and found quite a lot of material going back years. I was surprised because I'd never heard of them before. I thought, perhaps they were big in Latin America and just never broke in the US. Looking at Wikipedia, it turns out that they are two Swiss/Ecuadorian brothers from Zurich.
Highly recommended - great background music while you are trying to concentrate.
