Ant Man and the Wasp
#5
Rewatched as a refresher in prep for that screener. Man, I did not remember much of anything from this film. In fact, had I not posted above, I would’ve thought I just saw the trailer. Some stories are indelible but comic book based flicks can be … well .. delible? That being said, it was an amusing romp. Set in sf but so not sf. The inside of Pym’s Victorian looks nothing like any sf Victorian I’ve ever been in. And a chase scene going down Lombard is beyond cliche. Maybe I should watch endgame again next. I wish there was a way for Disney+ to sort a storyline of a single character throughout all the phases. Jimmy Woo kinda bugged me in this one. Not sure why. The quantum realm really needs to do more ‘splainin’ - my fav line was when Lang said something about everyone putting the word ‘quantum’ in front of everything. Hard to say if I liked this one better than the original or not. It’s kinda a lot of more of the same. Not that it’s a bad thing. They’ve got an entertaining formula & good cast chemistry. But now I’m craving a mini-series based on the x-con guys.
