Magpie Murders
E1: A mystery writer dies leaving his final manuscript missing the final chapter. But the manuscript is an allusion and has clues to his mysterious demise. The story plays out in two main arcs: the manuscript (aka Magpie Murders) and the publisher and author. It’s a tad confusing because it’s the same actors play dual roles, but I do enjoy stories about writers and publishers, despite how self centered they are.
It begins at the Frankfurt book fest. That looks so fun.
Also, the Freudian psychologist from Vienna Blood has a major role. It’s an enjoyable euro murder mystery so far.
Miss Scarlet and the Duke s2 (for s1, start here http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...8#pid44488)
More of the same. Scarlet remains charming with such a dazzling smile. More women’s rights and female empowerment when there was none. The duke has inherited the commissioner’s son as a new bumbling detective. I’m sure he’ll show some talent eventually. The new chief is also from Glasgow and he and the duke pronounce slainte completely differently than I imagined it should be said. I’ll keep watching because it’s sweet and I like the Jamaican street informer dude.
