Time for a Pupdate!
Dani came home from the Vet stoned out of her mind with most of her hindquarters bare and a big new six inch long zipper. At the vet's office, I asked the nurse whether it was cancerous or not and she said if I wanted to know for sure, I could pay the $300 and have it tested. Fortunately, the Vet was nearby and overheard me. He came over to say the surgery went fine. The mass came out in it's own little sack with just a few tendrils to be cut. It was about the size of a baseball. He also said i shouldn't lose any sleep over not getting the biopsy done. There is a chance the tumor will come back.
Last night Dani vacillated between stoned and pissed. She was bumping into everything with the cone of shame. She really wanted to go through the dog door, but no. Eventually, I let her out into the garden where she lay down for a couple of hours. We brought her in when it was bedtime. Maeve has taken advantage of the Dani's misfortune and played dominance games with her. Maeve had to spend some time locked up in the master bedroom.
Dani will be in the cone for 14 days or not. The Queen is going out later to get a soft cone for her. After 14 days, I go back to the vet to get the staples removed. Lots of painkillers and antibiotics until then.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
