E9 & E10 (S5 finale): ultimately this worked towards a reflection of the chaos of our times in all of its absurd ugliness. Mandy’s arc is done. I doubt he’ll return for S6. Things wrapped up without a significant cliffhanger - a decent finale that gave some closure, and yet left the door wide open for the next season, given how covid crushed their production plans. Navigating covid sent this show sideways, and yet it came out okay, more or less, and offered some processing of Jan 6, as well as other recent disruptions.
We’ll likely let go of Paramount+ when this payment runs its course. I luv my Star Trek, but can’t justify the cost for one half hour weekly cartoon. Stacy & I both luv The Good Fight so we’ll come back for S6. Maybe I’ll come back for one of the upcoming ST series. We’ll see.
Regarding this show, I highly recommend it. It’s got a wittiness you’d all enjoy and some shared political views. No sword fights but if you’ve never watched it, give it a pass. It’s different than The Good Wife, although that was amusing too. This got so much better.
