No, seriously - not a joke. Couldn't figure out why this great big snake was in the middle of the street, very slowly, lethargically crossing the road. By great big, I mean about 2.5-3 feet long. Preston, Cuchulain and I were out on the afternoon walk and I was little surprised when the stick in the middle of the street moved when Preston marked it.
I was curious what it was, looked it up and found it at http://www.californiaherps.com/snakes/pa...escription. And after reading a bit, discovered that apparently lying in the middle of the road is perfectly normal behavior. As is, I would suspect, getting squished by cars.

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
