I really enjoyed Raul Julia and Anjelica Huston. And some of the sets were quite good. I particularly liked the subterranean gondola scene.

And let's not forget Joan Cusak in the second one, and the ridiculous summer camp.

Can't comment on the show since I haven't seen it since childhood. Although it did make we want to learn to stand on my head.
