I'm dying to see Detective Chinatown 3 even though I didn't care for the initial installment in the series and failed to make it through the sequel because the version I watched lacked subtitles. But I have a deep admiration for Wang Baoqiang because he's funny, he has range, and he was raised in Dengfeng so he has genuine Shaolin skills.
I reviewed DC1 on the Lost in Thailand thread (see http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...7#pid34287) - that thread also discusses the Lost in trilogy. If you're interested Greg, I'd check out Lost in India - that's probably the most digestible for you, or at least it'll give you a taste of what Wang is all about. I think it's available on Amazon Prime.
Wang is in a few more flicks I've reviewed here (none of them stellar really)
Monk Comes Down the Mountain

Iceman

These are actioners and don't showcase his comedic talent.
I would recommend Kung Fu Jungle, aka Kung Fu Killer.

Wang has a double-barreled attack for this year's Lunar rush. He's also in this:
Detective Chinatown 3 and The Shaolin Temple: Legend of Debao (full U.S. title as of now) are the top two Lunar New Year releases that are of interest to me this year. As soon as I see them, I'll pitch a piece on Wang to Den.

Shao Lin Si (少林寺之得宝传奇)
A reboot of Shaolin Temple from Wang Baoqiang, one of my fav actors right now (search Baoqiang here). Wang was raised at Shaolin Temple and has delivered some actioners, although his reputation is for comedy.
