Watched it. A nice quiet meditative film. I kept expecting Depardieu to put in an appearance. I mean, he's always in these French films about artists.
The old guy who played Renoir did a great job. As for the son, Jean Renoir, he had this single-minded patriotic intensity about him (somehow reminding me of Ed Norton) at odds with any creative spark that would allow him to evolve into a great filmmaker.
