No idea where to put this right now. So. Never have we had the fridge fuller than right now. Both the freezer and fridge compartments.
This morning, when I got up, I saw the clocks blinking, so the power was off for an uncertain length of time, but is back on.
The fridge is too, but a bit noisier than usual, and it's no longer cooling. The freezing unit is leeching thawed everything.
So we're going to have to toss most the food, and a lot of thawed meat.
We've been looking online for a new side-by-side fridge, but anything decent (according to Consumer Reports) is not available. WTF? Is everyone hoarding fridges as well?
So I'm making a last-ditch effort to resurrect this sucker.
Any tips or ideas?
Here's what I know.
The fan in the back is on.
The compressor is slightly warm, as it should be.
I cleaned the coils under the front --a huge mat of hair, etc., big as a cat -- but it hasn't made a difference.
I'll be watching youtube videos for more troubleshooting steps. But if you have something, you mind heaving it my way?
[Wondering what will break next...]
