I knew most of those already. I've always questioned the Steely Dan one because given their sound, it's just not Burroughs-y enough.

The encouraging Yeti 

Actually on second thought, The Encouraging Yeti is a horrible name for a band. However, it'd make a great title for a short story by Gorey.
