So let's see...today's Saturday? Tuesday was my last day so this is DAY 4
DAY 4: Slept in past 9. Stacy left early for a solo hike, so I spent the morning doing some Qigong and Kung Fu, sorting out a basic curriculam for myself for these coming weeks. I'm rather bummed because my practice was going well. I fell in with a good group of practitioners and reclaimed the BSL small star (4-8) which won't mean much to anyone here but the cfs, and was doing that on a weekly basis. It's always something.
I spent the rest of the day reading on my veranda, getting some sun, and chatting with neighbors across the street. Buck, the recovered alcoholic across the way, is hurting. He makes surfboards for a living, used to have his own shop on the Westside and turned out about 200 boards a year. Now he works for someone else and is hustling to find any cash jobs to support his wife and kid. Shelby, our backyard neighbor, is vacating as I write this. She and her partner have a place in Oaktown, and are secure for now. The other guys on our plot, Matt & Miles - Miles is laid off. Matt is still working because he's a bicycle repairman, and that being transportation is deemed essential, although most of his staff has been laid off.
Been debating an art or writing project. Maybe that'll start tomorrow. Or maybe tomorrow will be some much needed housecleaning.
