Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station
#70
Oh, happy Monday!

Bright and early this morning I went to the tap and nothing came out. If you live in the city, you call the water department. When you own your own well, you get to call you.

I checked the tank. It was about a quarter fill. No amount of jiggling the float got the pumps to kick on. I did find tons of acorn seeds in the screw top, so I have that going for me.

Our well works on a two stage system. The well was designed to service three other properties as well as our own. This means the actual well is a couple hundred yards away on another property.

I walked over to the property and found the supplementary tank there was full of water. For some reason the water was not getting from that tank to our tank.

There is only one well service company in the town of Raymond so I called them. The appropriately named Wellco actually installed the well on my property originally. They will be out some today to probably install a new pump down at the supplementary tank. The nice man from Wellco said they are $1200. It could be they just need to throw a switch which would probably be less. But I'm guessing I don't get the cheap option.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
