Yep
Sword fights!
Sword Effin Fights!
Turns out there's a cult of Romulan nun assassins and the Romulans bear swords. Not goofy bat'leth thangs but proper basket hilts and katanas. They match the ears well. Why bother with swords when they have phasers? Who cares? Same thing happened in Disco but there was actually a decent reason for that. There's no real reason here in Picard, but it's all good. That being said, the sword fights aren't great so far, but at least they're present. And at the end of the ep, V's hottest borg appears but we knew it would be this ep because Jeri is listed in the opening credits.
The ship La Sirena has an almost Rocinante vibe in they way it is designed, except for the holodeck. It doesn't feel that Trek, but again, who cares? The crew is assembled. Time to go boldly.
Now we're cookin with dilithium.
