Rebels was closer to the Star Wars take on Firefly even though it was a cartoon. But it had the same idea of a rogue pirate ship circumnavigating galactic war, and the dynamics of the crew was very parallel. And Rebels is what also launched the world of Mandalore. I'm thinking this has more of a Yojimbo feel (some buzz is billing it as 'man with no name'-esque but we all know that was derived from Yojimbo).
I'm really torn on Disney+. It's not that expensive (to start) and D23 made some enticing announcements. Right now, we're down to just Netflix and Amazon Prime and we might let go of one of those. I kinda need Netflix for work sometimes (you have to have an account to get screener access on top of being registered on their press site). Amazon Prime has so many other perks (free shipping, Whole Foods ... plus Expanse Season 4). We'll probably pick up Showtime ala Amazon for the final season of Homeland, and I'll want CBS Access again for ST: Disco S3. It's such a shuffle with services now. First world problems.
