#13 was waiting for us in the middle of the living room when we got home. it wasn't moving until we placed it back into the juniper bush. mrs. dm didn't even notice it at first. they are so commonplace.
#14 was in the same spot. hopefully the cat is realizing that if it is going to bring us snakes, it should leave them there, since that's not really in the house. dm wasn't a witness to this snake. mrs. dm handled it. in fact, mrs. dm wasn't going to mention it, but dm inquired about why the front light was on. it was to illuminate the juniper bush.
been thinking the juniper bush isn't a good place to return the snakes. it's convenient, but perhaps the snake cannot get anywhere from there and is easily recaptured. this might support the 'same snake' theory.
