...I hear that. Remember you don't need to pay a sitter for the dogs and cats. Any night out is doubly expensive for us.
Which is why I'm totally milking this SoaP thread.
#8 was definitely not the same snake as #7. I just got home from practice and was in the process of changing out of my sweaty clothes when Tara noticed the cat going nuts next to her as she ate dinner. It was #8. #8 was smaller and greyer than #7-6-5-4; that one was a classic grass snake with a deep green body and two yellow racing stripes down the back. #8 was in good shape and returned to the front yard juniper.
Also worthy of note, we've taken to quoting Disney's Alice in Wonderland (a most horrid version of that beloved book) when snakes in the house plays. There's the scene where Alice pops up through the trees and disturbs a bird which cries out "SEEER-PENT!!" It's one of the only scenes that's almost accurate to the book.
