Animals become huge and ferocious after getting sprayed with chemicals designed to alter DNA. The animals then attack Chicago. Duane Johnson is there to save the day playing the role Duane Johnson always plays.

What a ludicrous film. The rest of DOOM should have been there with me howling at the acting and the dialogue and the stunts and the terrible CGI animals. Duane is a primatologist who also happens to be an ex-special forces soldier. He can sign language with apes. He can fly helicopters. He is the man. He does quips.

Okay, the film was sort of enjoyable once you give into the silliness. The Rock has some really funny lines. Jeffrey Dean Morgan looks like he embraced the silliness and hammed it up completely. He knows what kind of movie he is in. There was great destruction. The animal fights were funny. The villains were suitably villainous.

Back in the day this should have been top of the queue for a Doom get together.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
