Hey - I'm buying your snake to complete animal triptych.
But I understand your frustration. Almost everything else at the show was first-year art student stuff. The only exceptions being the cool metal tree stuff by the door and the lady on the opposite of your wall doing weird mixed-media self-portraits of her head surrounded by her various interests.
Sorry bud - your style is not mainstream.
I freaking love our "Alligator" and "Rhino". They are filled with such energy and (a word I hate) "style" but they convey a feeling of intensity (the gator's and rhino's crazy jaws) .
Over the years I have met many artists, but yours are the only ones I have hanging on my wall (aside from a signed original from my friend Shepard Hendrix for a graphic novel).
That show did not expose me to a new and wonderful vision of upcoming artists. It was a rehash of 'look at me, i'm an artist' table of crap. No one stepped outside the bounds except you and a very few others.
