Sometimes I’m like Joe here. Joe the bungalow squatter mouse. I see the trap. It’s been there for a while and it’s so obvious. But my oh my, that’s a tasty looking piece of cheese.
So I watched the 1st ep of the original anime (also netflixable). It was kinda funny in that absurd anime way, particularly with the cartoonish over reactions (sailor moon did that so much better tho). Ep 1 sets it all up quickly but I wasn’t compelled to watch more. Then I watched the live action. Couldn’t even make it through what was covered in the 1st ep. Bailed just before the big sword reveal. So bad. So off the mark.
Now I am struggling to think of an anime the converted to live action well, just to prove Sequoia-dreamer wrong... but I can’t. He may be right. I can’t even think of a mediocre one. They all suck.
