As today's CG cartoons go, OtH wasn't as abysmal as most. I can't stand Bruce Willis. I don't know why. I like a lot of his movies - Sixth Sense, Die Hard, etc., but I just can't stand him. He was even more annoying as a cloying raccoon. And don't get me started on Gary Shandling.
The comments on suburbia were rehash, the plot predictable, the songs sappy. The animation wasn't as bad as some, but not extraordinary by any means. The rapidfire witicisms moved fast enough so that you didn't notice when they failed that much.
Shatner was funny. He knows how to make fun of himself. There could have been more of him. The squirrel was really funny and the best scene *spoiler* is when he drinks the redbull-like drink at the finale. We had a great time, mostly because of that part.
The wave of CGI cartoons is here. A little while ago I was complaining that there weren't enough kid movies. Now there are too many.
This was probably the best one I've seen since Incredibles (but no where near in that league).
