See, the bride was out trying on bride things and these had been sitting on the table for quite some time.
I don't think I'm hip or cool enough for Wes Anderson films.
Stylistically, it was a very interesting. Anderson has a unique approach to how he shoots and edits his film. It's almost diorama like in it's nature. You don't do many shots beyond the master shot, no intercutting for dialogue and reaction shots. Just the main establishing shot and on to the next establishing shot. And they all are framed in a very quirky manner. But it got a tad tiresome.
I think the only authentic portrayal in the film was by Bill Murray and then only for a limited time. Maybe the notes on the film were I want everyone to be quirky.
The subject matter didn't enthuse me either. Young kids escaping to fall in love on the Island of New Penzance.
But I was diverted for two hours, but didn't get the film into the mailbox on time for today's pick-up.
