So I watched Moneyball just before this and frankly, I'm Pitt-ed out.

I'm still debating whether I enjoyed this or not. I'm still thinking about it, sot that's significant. There are moments of such visual spectacle that I regret not seeing it in a theater.

It's grim at first, very slow and draining. The dialog is minimal - narrated whispers of Job-like ruminations about God. Then it takes this outrageous turn into hi-def space and nature footage with meteors, jellyfish and dinosaurs. That part was like a really good acid trip, which is my other top 'thumbs up' review point alongside 'good sword fight'. The cinematography is amazing. I can watch hi-def space and nature footage to trippy music for a long time and be thoroughly entertained. Then it goes back to a dreary, more conventional story arc. I kept watching, thinking 'bring back the dinosaurs!' and 'Where's Jonah Hill?' Then it gets kind of trippy again, but fails to reprise the earlier grandeur. I highly recommend the segment with the space and dinosaurs. The rest was interesting - engaging - still debating whether I liked it.
