Ardenwood rocks. We love that place.
Plus, we think a couple of pea-hens followed us home. That's the only explanation we have for two of them showing up in our yard a couple of days after we'd been there. This was last spring. Our first indication that they were with us was when they turned on the music at about 4am oustide an upstairs window. Not our bedroom window, but still, at 4am, a peacock call comes through any known wall-making material like radio waves. Heck, maybe they are radio waves. What the hell do I know. Anyway, it got us out of bed lickety-split, I can tell you that.
We chased them around and about for several weeks before we finally stopped seeing them. What a mess. It was like having a pair of incontinent dogs all over the back porch, but mostly on the door mat where it would be most likely to be stepped in and the hardest to clean.
But Ardenwood rocks. Unless the animals follow you home.
